Excellent food! I had the Reuben with red cabbage, hubby had the veal schnitzel with German potato salad (cold) and sauerkraut. The black forest cake was real! Not canned cherries. Excellent, highly recommend! All the staff was very friendly.

OMG did we love this place! The maitre'd and staff are Amazingly friendly. The décor is really really pretty. Wienerschnitzel bratwerst red cabbage and potatoes All cooked to perfection and delicious taste We had the 3 Berry tart for dessert and that was warm with whipped cream And also Delicious We will definitely come back here

Berliner Kindl is a gem located right off of I-40 in Black Mountain. The decor and atmosphere is what is expected for a German restaurant. The German beer selection is great, but only a few are on draft the rest are bottles. Overall, the food was good but not a home run. The potatoes were undercooked and could have used some seasonings. The daily specials gives an good choice when looking to stay within a reasonable price. Overall, a good place for German food in Western NC. This restaurant is worth stopping in when the mood for German hits you as the menu does have a great selection.

Fantastic traditional German food. I had the house salad, which was a Sampler Salad, and the meatballs with gravy. The potato pancakes, black forest cake were all amazing. And the service was excellent. We will be back!

Great food again. Weiner schnitzel is excellent. Love the potato pancakes. Strudel is made on site daily and is delicious. Been here twice and loved it both times. Best German food in NC.

I don't have a German restaurant baseline to compare to, but I've eaten lunch here twice now and both meals were delicious. As was the chocolate kahlua mousse torte I had for dessert! Well done folks!

Lemmon schnitzel was so delicious with red cabbage and sauerkraut! Absolutely delightful experience. The server lady was very fun and everything was a pleasurable first experience. The deserts were not too sweet but delicate cakes. I would definitely visit here for schnitzel again and for those cakes.

I give them 4 stars because they are nice people. I should make it 3 stars because of the food flavor.

Easily the best German food we have had outside Germany. Very, very authentic. We were in Bavaria Oct 2019 and it was like being back there. Incredibly well made food, fresh and never disappoints. We love the decor and the beer is delicious too. Just sad we live so far away! But always a treat when we are in the area.

I went to Black mountain with my wife and found this delicious German restaurant. I had never had authentic German food before, but now that I have had it I know what to judge others against. This was a great atmosphere and a great dining experience.

Never had German food before so decided to give this place a try. Husband tried a couple of German recommended beers, and we both had a schnitzel plate. Food was made fresh to order, was very delicious and we would definitely recommend it to anyone passing through the area.

This is A Must restaurant for any trip near Black Mountain! Highly recommend.

My wife and I ordered two Reubens from here while on vacation. Definitely in the top 3 best Reubens we've ever had. The food is delicious, the service is surprisingly quick, and the people here are very friendly, very easy to sit and talk with! Highly recommended!!!

Great food and very friendly staff. The restaurant is right on the main street and is easy to find. Plenty of parking space close by. The service is quick and the selection is great. The restaurant has lovely murals outside and very authentic decor inside. We felt if we were in a restaurant in Germany.

They were flexible with our schedule, helpful with questions and the whole process was so easy! The food was a huge hit and our Oktoberfest was a success! Highly recommend!

I love this place! They offer superb food, their menu is large, The chef in that place is very trained, I like a lot tasting all their dishes. The dishes are consistently of high qualtity, the service towards the guests is friendly. I often go to this restaurant and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend this place.

Took a bit to find as the sign was not lit up. Otherwise it was a fabulous dinner! Out of the eight of us there was only one minor complaint, it was that the German potato salad was cold, he likes it warm or hot. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was amazing! A little pricey, but the quality of the food and service was superb overall.

It's a great place friendly staff , I am not a big fan of German food. But my family seemed to enjoy the food ! Just a suggestion for the restaurant I know it will defeat the purpose of a German restaurant but can you add a American food items to the menu so theres a little something for everyones taste? Very nice place. Great food and service! The menu is nice and there is a lot to choose from. Ask about the special of the day. They are very friendly and happy to help you choose the best dish for you taste. I am a 3rd generation Polish guy and the food takes me back to my grandparents house in Hamtramck, Michigan. Be adventurous and try something new. The desert is made in house and I really like the German chocolate cake. Great selection of beer too. I try to eat there when I am in the area and each time I do it never fails to satisfy.

Found this location by accident (travelling through the city and wanted to stop for lunch) and what a HAPPY accident it was. Amazing authentic German food, cold authentic German beer, schnitzel, spaetzle, and beautiful desserts. A meal to be remembered for sure!

This restaurant serves authentic German food at reasonable prices. We were traveling and were surprised and pleased to find such a place in a small town in North Carolina. We shared a sampler platter for two. There was much more than we could eat at one sitting. We enjoyed the leftovers the next day. The service was excellent. Great stop!

Great little German restaurant in a popular mountain town just of I-40. They offer all the main staples with two kinds of beer on tap and plenty of wines by the glass. Service was very friendly and food came out quickly. Two beers, two meals, one side, and dessert set us back $60 but the portions and quality are worth it. If you are on the fence on what to get there is a reason the Jagerschnitzel is a customer favorite. I would pass on the cucumber salad but the red cabbage and sauerkraut are necessary. There is another German restaurant about 20 minutes from here, The Bavarian Restaurant & Biergarten that does better desserts but Berliner has better food. When we are passing through, we will dine here again.

Got the schnitzel, Apple kuchen, Korbiner? Beer. Amazing meal, only suggestion would be have homemade bread. Definitely recommend

I love stopping at Berliner Kindl when I'm in Black Mountain. The food is awesome and the wait staff makes it seem like I'm visiting relatives. I highly recommend the jagerschnitzel with mushroom gravy and German potato salad. If you have time, the beer and desserts are also favorites.
